So i recently been having problem with my G53 like blue screens and drivers not responding but that's beside the point, recently when i started to plug in my earphones i hear this static sound coming through them without any music or video playing... i've double checked to see if the earphones were the problem by trying them out in different laptops but apparently it's my laptop causing the weird annoying sound and just to make sure i even tried different earphones and still got the same result all pointing to my G53..
It's like a weird static white noise that you can clearly hear when i plug my earphones on.
Has anyone experienced this before or have any recommendations on how to fix this noisy problem?

Hello, based on what you stated, check thoroughly to insure nothing is grounding out, what was the last thing you did with this machine when it worked? If you have checked and nothing is grounded out, it could be one or more of the following, assuming that you don't have a driver issue:

    1. could be the daughter board which audio port is connected
    2. IS the audio port physically damaged
    3. could be the IC chip that controls sound
    4. Could be the BGA chip South-bridge or North-bridge which ever is responsible for controlling that function of the board.

    Hope this helps. :D

    Regards,

    Don

Thanks for the quick reply, I just recently bought new earphones because my old ones were lost for about a month but before that my laptop didn't make the sound i'm hearing now.. I've checked the driver and don't think that's the problem and i don't know if i can dismiss the IS port damaged part out because i do take very good care of my laptop but who knows...

This Buzzing noise is driving me crazy.... any idea if it's a software problem or something? My laptop is making this static/buzzing noise with whatever headphones/earphones/speaker i put on... I may have take it back to where i bought it since i have a warranty on it and see what they say

Looks like i found what was making the noise when i plugged in my headphones/earphones/speakers and it was the closest USB to the headphone jack which i had connected to my mouse, so all i did was move to the next USB to connect my mouse and the noise completely stopped.

Make sure nothing is grounded to the USB port or audio jack, so there is no short. Something is not shielded which could be causing the buzzing noise.
