Its been a couple of weeks since the release of windows 8, I thought it may be easier for all G53sw & G73sw owner if there was thread with the links to all the driver they would need. Since i don't have a G73sw, i may not be able to link to every single driver for the G73sw. But i will do my best to list. This thread is based off sarge_ G73SW and G53SW: Latest drivers and everything you need for a fresh install.
I installed windows 8 using the clean method [Boot of USB, custom install] as opposed to using the upgraded option [running from within windows 7]. Following that, i installed the drivers in the order below and everything is working perfectly. So hopeful, if you follow the same order, it will work perfectly for you as well.

    1) Intel INF Chipset

You can find the driver by clicking here. Go to Chipset software Installation Utility & Chipset Device Software section and Download version 9.3.1.1007 WHQL [Latest version as of 11/11/2012]. To download click on the floppy disk icon
Most guides will say to run this with the -overall switch, but i don't think that's necessary if your doing a clean install.

    2) Intel Rapid Storage Technology

You can find the driver by clicking here. Go to Rapid Storage Technology section and download version 11.6.2.1002 WHQL [Latest version as of 11/11/2012]. To download click on the floppy disk icon.

    3) Intel Management Engine Interface

The latest version can be found here. Look for the Intel Management engine interface section and click on the floppy disk to download. The latest version as of 11/11/2012 was 8.1.10.1300.

    4) Nvidia Drivers

You can find the latest version here

    5) Realtek Audio Driver

You can find the latest version here As of 11/11/2012, the latest version is V6.0.1.6690. I found that Realtek 2.70 was not working properly on windows 8.

    6) Creative Audigy Driver

Download version 1.03 ONLY. The latest version [1.03.1] is very buggy, so don't install that. You can download version 1.03 from here
Currently there are only windows 7 driver available, but these work perfectly fine with windows 8

7a) Wireless Console 3 [This only applies if you have the STOCK WIFI CARD]

You only need to install this if you have the stock wifi card and it must be installed before the wifi drivers. The latest version can be found here

    7b) Wifi Drivers

Since lot of people have upgraded there wifi Cards, i will try to link the driver to there respected manufacturer.
Default Stock card/Atheros Drivers can be found here
Intel drivers can be found here
Killer Wireless Drivers can be found here

    8) Bluetooth Driver

For stock wifi Cards, the latest version can be found here
For Killer wireless & Intel Cards, the bluetooth drivers are installed when you install the wifi drivers [If your card supports it]

    9) LAN Driver

The latest version of Realtek can be found here
Download the version that says, "Win8 Auto Installation Program (SID:1522304)"

    10) Touch pad

Download the latest version of Synaptics touchpad drivers, which can be found here

    11) USB 3 Drivers

Download the latest version of Fresco USB3.0 Driver. LINK

    12) ATKPackage

These are required in order to use the FN key function.
First you need to install the keyboard driver, the latest version can be found here
After the restart you will need to install the ATKPackage, which can be found here

    13) Card Reader Driver

For the card reader driver, download the windows 7 driver from your laptop page. They should work on windows 8. G73SW G53SW

    14) Power4Gear & Splendid

The latest version of P4G can be found here
The latest version of Splendid can be found here
When installing the P4G, it tends to get stuck and you have use the Task manager to end it. After restarting the installer for the 3rd time, everything installed fine. There was an error at the end which stated the desktop gadget did not install, but the P4G key was working fine

Remember to reboot after installing each driver [it tends to reduced any errors for occurring]
And that should be all the drivers/Utilities needed. Let me know if i have missed something.

If you want to keep the OEM information that shows up in the system information, you can use this backup ------> View attachment OEM.zip

Awesome thread. I will be updating a couple of my drivers with this info. I am not having issues but I think I am using old drivers.

Thanks a bunch. Once I saw that Splashtop 2 supports Windows 8 gestures... I just had to upgrade my G73 to Win8 so that my Nexus 10 could also be a Windows 8 Pro tablet :D
