Ok, the title says it all

I have a plan to buy G53SW to replace my M500sv, considering my budget and the screen size, not really big like G73. I found that there are no G53SW with FHD and 3D screen, so sad about it.
So i want to ask you guys about your opinion, which one do you prefer, FHD or 3D screen?
I found that some people love 1080p resolution, but some of them hate it because of the small text, although we can change the DPI of the screen. And some people love the new generation 3D screen.

Please help me out. Thanks a lot. :)

Oh, and off topic question, did G53SW version has a blue led bar below the screen like G73? I think it's cool to use it in sleep mode LOL :D

Hey there, fellow Kaworu. This sure is awkward. Now I know why I couldn't register my usual username and had to resort to my lame -876 suffix in order to register an account here.

I guess it makes sense, though - I'd be surprised if SEELE didn't clone multiple Kaworus just in case the first one didn't work out the way they hoped. Oh wait, that's exactly what happened *facepalm*

Anyway, I just purchased the G53SW myself - you can get a really good deal on newegg right now, it only costs $1200 for a totally adequate model. You can't do fancy customizations, but the only difference between it and the base model you'd see on, say, xoticpc is that the newegg version has 6GB instead of 8GB of memory, and a slightly smaller hard drive.

And the G53 on newegg most certainly has FHD and 1920x1080p resolution - I might not have gotten it, otherwise! No 3D screen, but I've always thought those were quite silly, personally. Here's the newegg link, take a look and see what you think: Newegg.com - ASUS G Series G53SW-XN1 Notebook Intel Core i7 2630QM(2.00GHz) 15.6" 6GB Memory 500GB HDD 7200rpm DVD Super Multi NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460M

I'm not sure but I don't think there's -3DE models of the G53s. There are however FHD models as kaowru876 have mentioned. Newegg has G53SW-XN1 on sale for $1200 before tax.

3d is in its infancy right now and the gtx 460m will take a huge drop in fps when 3d vision is enabled so until 3d is the norm and a decent powerful gpu can run it fluently at high frames per sec then I wouldn't recommend it. Also if you have to wear glasses to watch and game in 3d then it sucks. Wait until the technology advances a lil bit where we can use 3d w/o the use of those glasses.

Hey fellas, so SEELE didn't have a hope for me? Well it's sucks, but i think they will make a movie with 2 kaworus someday lol.

$1200? How it can be so cheap? But it will become about $1500 if I buy it from another country, sucks government. So what is your opinion about its FHD resolution? Is it really good? Can you play games with it?

Also, is there any blue light led bar under the screen?

Yes there is, actually it is Asus G53SW-IX079V. And it is the first G53SW that released first here, packed with useless bonus like Targus bag, Razer mouse, and gaming headset, it costs about $1700 or more

Have you tried playing games with 3D vision? Yeah I know some games will running low fps with 3D, so I think 3d vision is only used to watch movies. I don't know when will 3D technology without glasses will be released, but Toshiba is currently doing that project

3D without glasses put severe strains on your eyes as the technology is at now and can't be used for long periods of time. When running in 3D mode, everything will drop to half the frame-rate. It won't be playable for most games that support 3D.
