I've had my g53sw-xn1 for quite a while now, and I've had a lot of problems with it. It's the worst computer I've ever had.
I had used bluetooth before and it had worked just fine.
Recently I had to RMA the laptop and they replaced the motherboard.

Afterwards I ended up reinstalling windows, and when I went to install the drivers for bluetooth from Asus site it says "No Bluetooth device was detected. Please make sure that your Bluetooth device is plugged in properly in order to coninue installation."

In device manager I have a "Bluetooth Module" but it has the yelow warning sign that it has a problem and when I check for details, the error is Code 43.

I don't know if the motherboard that I had replaced at Asus was defective or they broke the bluetooth module somehow or if this is a driver issue I can't figure out.
I'd really appreciate any help with this!!!

On an unrelated topic, when I play games like left 4 dead or L.A. Noire, I get unbearable framerates. It will be running just fine at 40 fps as an example and suddenly drop to 11 and then go back up after a while. It's strange. This always happens in Left 4 Dead when the horde comes, but this computer should be able to handle it no? It's ridiculous.

Really? Noone has had this happen to them?
Or how about where the computer just randomly goes from AC power to battery power while it is still fully connected? Or where hitting the function volume buttons triggers the switch from AC to Battery?

Really? I'm the only person who thinks this is the laptop from hell?

I've never had problems installing the BT drivers in my G73, however i did come across a few drivers that needed to be installed with UAC completely disabled. You could try that. You might also have the wrong drivers for your BT module, check if there are multiple bluetooth drivers on the asus site.
