This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     G53SW faulty power button

    Power button doesn't seem to work on cold boots until after a few dozen presses or a few minutes have passed (whichever comes first). Seems a few other reviews have mentioned it. Anyone else have this problem and did you fix it or RMA/replace?

    Going to guess you bought it from newegg, AFAIK, they just RMA'd them back for a replacement. So that would be my suggestion to do as well.

    I had the power button problem, but now I think its fixed. The only thing i did was unplugging the touch pad. Does that work for you? :)
