BIOS 205 is the latest version. And no, no news from Asus. But Throttlestop works fine. :)

I don't think it's Asus' fault - I believe it's just one of Intel's "safeguards." I doubt Asus could do anything about it without going up against Intel.

When a laptop manufacturer chooses a CPU and a GPU, it is up to them to design an adequate cooling solution and include an adequate power supply. Too many laptop manufacturers cut too many corners so as programmers learned more about getting the most out of these modern GPUs, laptops started running way too hot or consuming too much power or a little bit of both. The only solution that ASUS and others could come up with that was cheap to implement was throttling the CPU or GPU to a fraction of their rated speed.

Intel CPUs run great when they are properly cooled and fed enough power to run at their rated speed.

Well, seeing who you are I'll take your word for it. :p

It does seem the SWs have a bit of an issue with a lack of power supplied.

Where do you see BIOS 205? The only version I see on Asus's website is BIOS 203.
