Hi all, first post here after lurking for a couple months now![]()
I finally got the G53SW-A1 3 days ago and so far I'm delighted with this computer's performance.
Cutting to the chase, is it possible to remove the display that pops up whenever I do certain things, for example pressing most if not all of the Fn combinations (volume up, down, keyboard light up, down, etc.) ? I'm not too much of a fan of that 'feature'.
Thanks in advance,
etonb.

Thats the on screen display i guess?
The OSD is managed by keyboard filter+atk drivers.
Removing one of those also disables mostly everything, from all fn functions like keyboard backlight to the three access buttons located above the keyboard.
If I'm not wrong you can't just disable the OSD at all. -
Etonb- I found a non elegant solution to disable OSD-
Task Manager - Performance Tab- Resource Monitor - Memory Tab - Processes - Right click and suspend Atkosd, Atkosd32
Your Fn short cuts will still work, but no OSD
