    G53SW with a 1366x768 LCD Replace with 1080p screen?

    Not happy with current screen and wanted to know if I could straight swap it out for a good 1080p Screen? Can this be done???

    Take apart your display assembly and count to see if the LVDS cable has all of the pins, and count the copper traces if you can. If it has all 40, you should be able to put a 1080p screen in there.

    I'd suggest finding one by AUO, as the LG screens seem to often have blue tints. And you can get either a matte or glossy, whichever you prefer.

    assuming I want to replace the screen, where can I find one? I have searched google and ebay and nothing come up =.=

    Laptop screens are basically standard when it comes to connectors. Look for an AUO B156 HW0* V*, or LG LP156W F* (**)(**)
