Hello i'm going to buy the G53SW-SX105V for 950€ ( max budget is 1000€ )
But im still not 100% if i should buy it.
    These are the specs:

    CPU: Intel Core i5 2410M
    4GB Ram
    GTX460M 1,5GB
    640GB 5400RPM
    1366x768 (WXGA Wide)

The reason why im not sure about this laptop is because of the CPU
Its an dual core and im not sure if it will be enough for gaming now these days
because i want to play games like crysis 2 bfbc2 and the upcomming games like BF3 and MW3

ive found some laptops but some people told me they arent better than the asus

: HP Pavilion dv7-6070ed Entertainment notebook pc (LC756EA) specificaties - HP Thuis en Thuiskantoor producten

HP Pavilion dv6-6080ed Entertainment notebook pc (LE948EA) specificaties - HP Thuis en Thuiskantoor producten

Do you guys think this asus will be enough for gaming ? ( BF series including BF3 CoD series etc.... )
or should i go with the HP laptop?

The CPU is Gen 2 so currently will be very good for gaming although for multi tasking not as much as a 4 core 8 thread. Only a few games make full use of 4 cores 8 threads at the moment and your 2x4 CPU will handle them perfectly fine and it has a range of 2.3-2.9ghz which is fine. The 3mb cache is a bit low but for general tasks and gaming again fine.

If you fancied upgrading later on and shifted upto a I7 26**qm-29**xm there are some very good deals for the price paid but you could do this once the Ivy appears on the scene and grab one for cheap.

Good price for the laptop as well if it is brand new. I would say go for it.

In regards to BC3 mobile cards are going to struggle to produce the highest settings at 1080p that is for sure unless you have a top of the range model or crossfire/sli setup, but will it handle it yes it will at probably medium settings 1080p and after updates the performance will improve.

The DV6/7 are nice laptops but wont give you the gaming performance you will see from the ASUS for the price paid.

The only bad thing I can see with that model is the HDD being 5400rpm. Shift that to the second bay and get yourself an SSD to go with it and your sorted.

Wise choice that is £830 in the UK which is a bargain here as those models are selling for £1k+

As long as it is the 1.5GB 192bit 460M then go for it.

Yes the best buy version will be 128bit as long as its not best buy it wont be. Your model is 100% 1.5gb 192bit.

    128bit 1gb BAD
    192bit 1.5gb GOOD

    Your model GOOD!

The 555m is a weak card for gaming in this day and age it is DDR3.

The 460m is GDDR5 (the best) and from what I have seen overclocks very well.

I'd say it overclocks well, most ppl here can easily hit 800mhz, and quite a few of us hit 850mhz.
