Here's the link to the 2 compared: Newegg.ca - Computer Parts, PC Components, Laptop Computers, Digital Cameras and more!

They both cost the EXACT same price. Cent for cent.

They both have the EXACT same specs. Spec for spec - EXCEPT for 2 different things:

The SX has 2GB more of RAM and a better video card than the SW.

Why do they cost the same?

Why is it that the SW has over 100 reviews and the SX has under 5?

Why doesn't the SX have more reviews? It's the better of the 2, it should have more reviews.

I'm very conflicted and confused right now. My eyes want the SX but my gut is telling me to buy the SW because it has a lot more reviews.

Is there something wrong with the SX that I'm failing to see?

The sx just came out a few days ago so not many people have bought and used it yet while the SW has been available since April. The SX while have a newer GTX 560M, it is gimped so i wouldnt recommend that. Looks for other brand like Toshiba at that price range if you cant live without the newest 5x0 card, otherwise goes for the SW.

    I tell you why.
The gtx 460m has 1,5gb and the 560m has 2gb, but the different is that the 460m has higher pixel shader than the 560m. gtx 460m = 192bit, 560m = 128bit.
Which means that the 460m is a little more powerful than the 560m for longer runs.

Don't be naive, Xn1 version sucks. Get the G53SW-A1 because it is only $1,030 @ Amazon. Other resellers still sell it north of $1,300

It's not the amazon A1, it's the A1 version and it comes w/ 2 years warranty plus backpack and gaming mouse.

I plan on getting one of these also but am thinking of going with the SX because I won't be using it for games much so I don't know if the 128 vs 192 bit thing will make much of a difference. I will be using Photoshop/Dreamweaver on it though so maybe it will...

between 128 bit and 192 bit, yes believe me there is a significant differences.

if you can find 1.5 GB 560M than it can be acceptble because 192 bit also.

but if you go with 2 GB 560 M which is 128 bit it will not be usefull for you .
1.5 GB and 2 GB it is only commercial trick I think nothing else.

nevertheless 1.5 GB 460M very easily can be overclocked to level of GTX 560M 1.5 GB which makes them equal " between them only core clock different and it is a easy thing " so just keep away from 128 bit for sure. if you can find 192 bit GPU " which are 1.5GB GTX 460M or 1.5 GB GTX 560M or 3 GB of GTX 560M-also 192 bit-" but if I were you for your application best is GTX 485M because you need polygons for subject drawings

I'm looking at buying one of these laptops... So wondering if anyone can guide me, should I go with the G53SW-XN1? I'm buying this computer as mainly a gaming computer. I'm in Canada so both Laptops are priced the same... If at the same price.. should i go with the G53SX-XN1?
