Hey guys , I just bought myself a G53SX-DH71 2 days ago. Overall im lovin this laptop with the specs they come with it.

I dont really know this laptop too well yet but everytime I play any games like Counter Strike: Source or League of Legends, temperature will go up to 80 degree celsius or more and it takes a while for the temp to go down when i'm not gaming with it. Fan seems pretty quiet.

To all the G53SX-DH71 owners out there , is this normal at all ?
Help would be much appreciated thanks !

It may depend on your games settings. Look into the game settings and see where you are sitting. The GPU is a GTX560M 2GB at 128bit, so it may make a difference how many fps you are running. I would give that a try and see what happens.

So you are saying that I should lower my graphic options in the game and it wouldn't heat up as bad ? But doesn't this bad boy be able to take it ?

And also im running on entertainment mode now , 5% min performance and 100% max performance.

Can I set it a little lower ? since this game doesn't require that high of a performance to run ?

Sorry if i'm asking too much lol.

My G73's 5870 can go up to 120 before shutting down. I'd imagine your card would be similar.

run a Furmark bench test and record the lowest and highest temp.
