    Hey fellow G-series owners.

I'm looking to add an SSD to my G53JW-XN1. Does this motherboard support SATA III speeds? Or is it pointless to buy an SATA III SSD for this laptop, as it would be reduced to SATA II speeds anyways?

Also, what SSDs offer the best bang for your back in the low-end/budget 60 to 64GB bracket? ($90-125 range)

Any other tips for buying a solid state drive for G53JW is also appreciated.

    Thanks in advance!

    Only supports SATA II.

I'd look for a used sandforce SSD (vertex, callisto deluxe, patriot inferno etc)

For 100-120 bucks you can probably get a 120GB one too.
