    hi  .

I just bough a alienware m18x with 460m sli , but for the moment i'm with the g53jw with one 460m.

After somes tests my performance was realy bad .

Battlefield bad company 2 1366*768 no AA everything set to high only 35-40 fps on multiplayer  .

Need for speed hot pursuit : 40 fps average with a lot of slowdown .

    And 3mark06 : 13000.

I don't understand why "in game" the performance are so bad .

Sorry for my english i'm french .

    Ps : cpu:i7 740qm
    gpu:gtx 460m
    ram: 4go
    hdd: ssd ocz vertex 2

did you trying ocing the gpu?

i know bc2 could be heavy maxed on 1080p.

not sure if the 3dmark is normal though i get 10.6k on my g51vx 2.5ghz and 600 core on gtx 260m, which means you getting only 2.4k more on a much newer laptop.

do you have the 192 bit and 24 rop gtx 460m? the gimped one is really weakish and need to try to push 800+ core on it to let it perform good( check gpuz)

everything looks good, try a newer or older driver, or maybe performance is just normal would not know , though seems a tad low

I try with 260.99 and same results .

Battlefield bad company 2 1366*768 -> 40 fps in high medium low .

    Why ? everything set to low and 1024*768 ... 40 fps again ! .

I don't understand why the performance are so poor ! ... bad gpu ? the 460 is really so weak ? ><

bad company is heavy based on cpu, is your cpu being used allot on bad company 2 and is turbo working? check task manager when you in a game

how is other games that's not so heavy on the cpu?
