Hello all, so my G53Sw-xn1 running win7 will not recognize my mice I am plugging into the usb ports. My old mouse I tried first use to work but then would no longer move the cursor, the right and left click buttons and the scroll function worked properly but the mouse would not move the cursor. I went and purchased a new mouse tonight and after plugging it in win7 detected it and the mouse worked fine for a minute. I installed its drivers to take advantage of all its features and for about 5 mins after I did that it was still working fine. Suddenly it stopped working and I got the same old right click left click scroll thing. Again it would not move the cursor. Any ideas on if I may need to clear my usb software or what may be going on?

    Thanks
    -Wes

did you try uninstalling the software you installed for your new mouse? It can at times clash with the synaptics touchpad software.

Well I tried reinstalling the usb 3.0 drivers and that did nothing. It was already up to date and even after the repair the mouse is still not working. I did also remove all the programs that I have installed trying to get different mice to work. The only one that will work at the moment is my old logitech wireless mouse/keyboard that goes through the wireless usb adapter that I plug into the laptop. All of the ones I have tried work fine on any other pc. I just dont understand why the brand new one would work fine for about 10 minutes then suddenly quit working.
