I've been having difficulty finding any information regarding the performance of the G55VW units. Specifically I'd like to see it run Diablo 3 and Battlefield 3. I checked the owners lounge and this forum before posting. Sorry if it's posted somewhere already but the search function isn't working for me![]()
Thanks!

It will easily max out Diablo 3 and comfortably run BF3 at high 1080p.
The best thing to do is just compare the G75 results as they are the same setup 660M GT and 3610QM so it will be the same outcome.
Battlefield 3 (2011) low: 75.5 fps Compare med.: 51.1 fps Compare high: 40.3 fps Compare ultra: 18.2 fps
Diablo III (2012) low: 179.7 fps Compare med.: 99.9 fps Compare high: 66.4 fps Compare ultra: 46.9 fps
^^ These are from Notebookcheck tested on the G55VW if you take a look.

They seem very thorough in their testing but watching their "test sequence" video of Diablo 3 doesn't inspire *any* confidence as they basically just ran through an area of the game with no combat taking place. That's not at all representative of what gameplay will really be like.
Here's the video I'm talking about:

The problem is Diablo 3 not the G55 however. Drivers will also be a problem with any new card so you cannot make your decision based on that. Everyone seems to be having problems with Diablo 3 it will max it no problem once updated.

Trying to stay on topic, I was just hoping that they had some numbers based on realistic gameplay, not on running through a completely barren section of the game.
It's like saying that your car gets 100 miles/gallon but it was being pushed downhill with your foot off of the accelerator. -
True but the same problem happened with the G53SX not many people bought it so it was hard to get some real life benchmarks.
Because the card is the same as the G75 try to find those video of that instead it is the exact same spec apart from RAM and HDD so will produce the same results. The 660M GT is more than capable of maxing Diablo 3 however you do not need to worry.
G55 information?
