G551JM Unable to enter any key to passwordbox on login screen

Hi all,

Im having this problem right now. My notebook is stuck on login screen. I press every character,every numeric key but none were fill to passwordbox.

Fn key is works, caps lock lamp appear. Also the problem, every clickable icon on login screen also like disable to click as the easy access, wifi bar, shutdown and verify password button. Try to enter safe mode by pressing F8 but failed to enter.

Mouse arrow is moving like usual.

I try to search on internet but none right information was shown. Please help to those who knows.

 

Have you tried restarting the machine? Plugging in an external keyboard?

 

Hi, yes already..using external mouse and keyboard..mouse moving, keyboard caps,funtion can do task.. Type pointer blinking, unfortunately no alphanumeric and specialchar filled in.

I'm entering boot menu by pressing Esc key. And while my hard drive is selecting, i spam the F8 key and press Enter. Guess what...booom! I can get into Win8 system menu. What is weird, I selecting resfresh PC and at inserting account password, the key is work where I can enter my password and now the computer is refreshing my windows..why on login it not entering any key. A hint before it happen at login screen(i restart pc), when I typing something, a metro search bar will fill my character key suddenly. It not fill on input box e.g notepad,google search..

 

See, this is why I love Windows so much. I.e., it's possible for a program running in the background to request focus - and for Windows "core components", such as the login module, to not notice that focus is lost. Or indeed have a function that expects it is ever necessary to regain focus again. Because the program doesn't allow any other function to be launched - visually - when that screen is active.

Logic and application - MS will have none of it, because it's fine as long as it either looks good, or no one figures out what is actually the problem.
