I got a screenshot here of 3dmarkvantage results where in both gentech and xoticpc are stock 3610qm and gtx 660m w/o overclock.

The confusion here is the cpu score and how it affected the overall score of the gentech 3dmarkvantage benchmark.

The GPU score for both is about the same so that looks normal, but the cpu isn't. Gentechpc is 21.5k while Xotic is at 48k. What is wrong here? Can anyone explain why the huge cap in cpu score?

I got screenshots below so just check them out please

Will this happen over and over again on the first one? Seems like a bug of some sort.

I dunno that's why i need somene from xotic or gentech or g55 users to come and clear this up. Why the huge gap on cpu score when both are using stock 3610qm cpu.

So that means xoticpc has some explaining to do on why their cpu score is more than double at 48,000.

One has the physics disabled (PPU Disabled), the other doesn't. I don't like Vantage for that very reason but the giveaway is the CPU test 2 results. The standard is having physics off.

So which score is the norm or standard? the one with the higher cpu score or the lower?

The lower number would be without the physics enabled and considered the standard way to run the test.

    Got it Thanks.

Can you explain to me why the cpu score and the 3dmark vantage scores goes up when physx is on? Is physx cheating or some kind of Turbo or NOS?

One of the CPU tests has a physics component. Back when Vantage came out I believe it supported Ageia Physx (or nVidia already bought them out I can't remember) and its programmed to take advantage of the physics co-processor. People run it with the PPU disabled so you can more fairly compare different (non nvidia) systems. Its not cheating really both results are valid, and the newer 3DMark 11 uses DirectCompute for physics which works on both nvidia and ati to avoid all that mess.

This means I would have to buy it I think and I do not want that.

Standard run is with the default trial settings so we can all compare stuff. Any change is maybe not cheating, but useless.
