Hello experts,
I have a g60jx that recently began to overheat badly. I decided to open the notebook up and clean out the fan. Since this was my first time I looked up some videos but the best I could find were for the 73 models. Long story short I only really need to remove maybe a dozen screws to get to the heatsink/fan but ended up opening my laptop all the way up. I cleaned out the fan, put it back together sans base keyboard but the screen will no longer come on. The power button works and lights up a long with the other buttons on that bar. The cd tray makes the same click sound per usual log on.
I did not end up removing the monitor half of the laptop because i realized it was unnecessary so i do not think there were any cables damaged. However in the process of removing the heatsink from the cpu I ended up yanking the cpu out of the slots because it was stuck so hard to the thermal paste. I checked and the pins appeared to all be there and I put it back in and it looked fine. Yet the screen will not show anything. There are no sounds of a boot up and I did not damage the sound cable so I am not sure what exactly I damaged.
Appreciate any help you all could give me.

Yikes, sorry to hear about the issues.
Could be a combination of things...There's a little video card that comes down from the monitor and fits into a little slot that may have wiggled loose during this process. Also, the fact that the CPU was yanked out of its slot has me a little worried. There should be a little "latch" mechanism that you can turn with the tip of a flat-head screwdriver that secures the laptop into its socket. That may need to be tightened, or loosened then tightened again so that the pins fall into the socket correctly. -
Always funny that you can do something a hundred times and itll never work but then someone suggests it to you and bam everything is all good. Huge thanks for the help. Guessing I didnt tighten the latch hard enough.
