Hi.
I've downloaded following file: G60JXAS.208 that contains new bios. I want to edit it in Phoenix BIOS Editor for fun but file is packed/encrypted somehow and program cant open it. Is there a way to unpack it?

Have you tried renaming the file to G60JXAS.rom b4 opening?

First off it's AMI not phoenix. Second you can't use it with MMtool because it's APTIO UEFI.
You need to go through some hoops. It's the same as the G51J BIOS, I wrote some directions. http://forum.notebookreview.com/asus/460583-asus-g51j-a1-bios-disassembly.html
Not sure if the tools are still available. Re-packing is not something I got into so I have no answers for that. -
Indeed, its AMI. Sorry i was sure it's phoenix, my fault. I'l try, thanks.
EDIT:: OK i've unpacked all files and which should i load to MMtool? There's no rom -

There is no mmtool or amibcp for aptio uefi that has leaked (as far as I know). There is a screenshot of amibcp 4 here: http://forum.notebookreview.com/son...ion-ami-aptio-bios-aw-series.html#post5436618 but it is nowhere to be found on the net.
That is the whole reason for the python scripts and unpacking the efi modules.
If you want to mess with it you'll need IDA and a hex editor. I don't know of any easy-to-use tools, sorry. -

Sweet. Unfortunately due to its nature we cannot link it here... but it wasn't hard to find. Thanks for the heads up!
If you notice, the bios itself is a 'trial version' (says so at the post screen). I never figured out what that meant, but maybe it has something to do with the lack of features you are noticing.
