    Hi,

Haven't noticed this before, but when I click my left or right touchpad button, I hear a 'squeak' noise through my speakers. Weird thing is, the tones of the squeaks are different for each button! The left button sounds different than the right one.

When I turn off the volume, no squeaking noise comes out from the speakers. The squeaking noise sounds like an amplified version of the normal 'click' that each button makes. When I hook up an external mouse, clicking that makes no noise.

I didn't notice this until I installed the SoundBlaster MB software. I tried uninstalling it but the sounds are still there. Not sure if the SB software caused it or if it's always been there and I just noticed it.

Is there a way to get rid of it or is it just digital noise from the touchpad?

Ok MAJOR weirdness ! I just tapped the side of my screen accidentally... and my speaker amplified the sound!

Tried rubbing my finger against the little metal piece at the end of the screen hinge... amplified that sound too!

Could my mic be turned on somehow?

Edit: It is turned on, and picking up sounds... but when I try to disable it, it says it's disabled but still picks up sounds and plays them through the speakers!

    Edit/Fix

Ok, FINALLY fixed it. Had to go into Realtek Audio Control, enable the Microphone and then turn down not the microphone gain, but the Microphone PLAYBACK volume. For some reason even with the microphone turned all the way down, it was still playing back received sounds! Very annoying. It wasn't doing this until I installed the Creative crap.
