Today I came home from work, and noticed a blinking cursor on the screen. I assume that the laptop BSOD on me, and then it does not boot into Windows thus the blinking cursor on the upper left corner.

So I turned off the laptop, then turn it back on, the start up splash screen plays a sounds, then the sound repeats again and again not going past the start up screen. This is not the first time this has happened to me on this problem.

The first time this has happened, the laptop froze on me and I had to restart and I get this sound repeating on me.

Does anyone know what is causing this problem?

Some extra information, room temperature was 75f.

Edit: I Noticed that I didn't upgrade the drivers, so I'm gonna do just that.. And if more problems occurs, I'll come back here.

Well I checked the drivers and they appear to already be up to date according to the ASUS site.. Unfortunately, those crashes were caused by these already up to date drivers..

I was wondering if theres a software or a hardware issue with it.

Did anyone else have problem with this issue?

p.s. Next time it does it like this, I will probably get to know what caused it.

Yes in a matter of fact, I did just that.

It was pretty scary when I was upgrading to a new BIOS version... even using EasyFlash.. I just had to not touch anything when it was doing it.

Well let's see how this new BIOS version goes for me.
