Hey Im looking to upgrade my cpu for my G60VX somewhere in the near future. It came with a core 2 duo P7450 (2.13ghz) with 1066mhz and a 3mb cache. I was just wondering will a P9600 (2.8ghz) work even tho it has a 6mb cache instead of a 3mb cache like the one I have know. Im just not sure if the motherboard will support it or not. Also the max suppported memory is 4gb....if I were to put 2 4gb sticks in would the laptop still operate or just not even recognize the 8gb and just recognize 4gb. Id really like to upgrade as I have many programs running and once and the laptop seems to be getting a little sluggish. Any help would be great. Thanks!

Yes you can upgrade to that processor, or to a faster one, i just bought a G60VX and i placed the E8435 that i had in my P7805 and it works great, with very good temps, (the E8435 is 3.06 Ghz) and very cheap on ebay
