    Hello,

I have a G60vx that will not charge. If I am booted into windows it just shows the battery and acts like it is not plugged in even though it will run forever. If it is not powered on I can not get the charging battery led to come on in the front at all. If I take the battery out it will not turn on with just AC plugged in. I have tried 3 adapters, 3 batteries (I also have a G60jx). I just got a new battery in the mail today that I thought might fix because the other batteries are old (it didn't). Thanks for any help.

The power adapters are good. 1 is the one that came with the unit and two others are universals we had to buy on vacation. I keep a usb mouse stick in but I took that out after reading around Google. It is way out of warranty so I may have to take it apart and do some digging. Not to rag but these laptops have been nothing but trouble. The g60jx ate itself alive and has long stopped working. And this g60vx while i am taking steps to keep it from overheating I have this problem now. I can't afford anything else so I will make the best of it (never buying asus again). I know the Ac is working because the laptop throttles everything with the battery in and AC plugged in. So I can't game properly on it. So what I do is pop the battery out (while running windows) and reset it. Then it boots into windows with a plugged in and no battery found icon. But no throttling. I pop the battery back in and I get just the battery Icon. No charge no nothing. I did a fresh install of windows because this was my wifes old computer and it was cheaper to get her a new simple laptop than buy myself a new gaming laptop. Is there any driver I could have missed? I have tried the delete the battery driver in device manager trick.
