    Hi guys,
This morning I turned my laptop on and the screen was very dark. Screen brightness is set to max and it looks very dim. It was working fine yesterday. I didn't install anything. What do you think the problem could be?
    Thanks

Are you on AC power or battery? Have you tried turning up the brightness?

The problem was backlight bulb of LCD screen (nedds to be replaced). Costs $150 including labor. I was even asked $350 so if you guys ever experience this problem i would suggest call several places and ask estimate. Thanks

At that price you can buy a new LED panel.

yea, at that price, if you have the best buy version of the g71gx, you can probably find the 1920x1200 screen to replace your 1440x900
