So every time during the boot up process (before Windows) the Republic of Gamers logo shows and it plays some cheesy explosion noise.

It's really annoying. Is there a way to disable or skip this?

enter bios, you can adjust or mute the volume on the rog logo, or you can even disable it completely and have the normal startup screen,
you should be able to find the option fairly easily in the bios.

On the G71 there was an option directly to disable the initial screen, not sure about the G72, check the bios.

I will be posting a tutorial soon on how to completely change any model's boot sound and logos. I need to work out a few technicalities first.

    Hi!
On my G73jh I have an asus logo on startup, and I'ld prefer to have a rog logo one.
Is it that one that you have ? Can you post the bmp's and the wav file ?

In my case I have this folder:

    C:\ASUS.DAT\ with subfolders:
    - Backgrounds
    -Frames
    -Images
    -Sounds

    Thank you ^^
