I had to replace my AC adaptor. I bought 2 replacements from 3rd party vendors that have good reputations that were listed as for the G72GX. As soon as I started using high level graphics, the computer started rapidly switching between the adaptor and the battery and quickly fried the adaptor. The tech support person I contacted said that the adaptors for this laptop fail on a regular basis because the computer draws more power than the adaptor that comes with it is really suited for and the third party adaptors don't necessarily have all the power capacity the manufacturers claim. So he recommended I buy a 180 W adaptor.

Has anyone else had this problem or heard about it? Also, I can't find a 180 W adaptor that fits the G72. Help!
