    Hi,

Sorry if this hasn't been addressed elsewhere, but I couldn't find it. When I bought this laptop, the first thing I checked was that it would display 1920x1080 on my DLP TV. I was able to configure dual displays using HD resolution. This is not my primary PC, but other family members in the house use it. No games have been installed on the laptop, so that didn't happen.

Now I go and check and I'm not given a 1920x1080 resolution choice. Nvidia control panel is telling me that the display is a Generic Pnp display and it's native format is 1600x900. That's as high as I can go.

If I go into advanced, I can specify a CVT and other(?) modes that have 1920x1080 resolutions, but testing of any of these modes results in display failure and it reverts back to 1600x900. I've downloaded and the latest video drivers from the ASUS site, but that didn't do anything.

Any body know whats going on? I'd call ASUS,but I've had difficulty in the past getting a hold of them in any timely manner. Wish they had a simple chat channel like other manufacturers, I mean they only have one of the largest production plants in China.

Chat on Sony didn't help me much.

If it used to work in Full HD mode - try to use Windows restore.
Also check if you are trying to change resolution mode on built-in monitor and what if your ASUS display is not Full HD. Did you ever used 1920*1080 on internal monitor?
