Hi everyone. I have been an owner of a G72GX for a couple of years now, had to send it in for warranty repairs a good while back for GPU overheating issues, they told me they replaced the gpu fan or something? I'm not too good with the hardware involved in these. It was covered under warranty then, so all was good, anyways. Now it's overheating again to the point that if I play any games at all, within 5 mins, 5-10 fps hits. I was reading up on thermal paste and also people modding these notebooks to have better cooling, but I'm not sure how to go about doing that or if I should even bother because I don't really know what I'm looking at when I take the bottom off of this thing.
Is there any way I can tell if the problem is my GPU fan again, or if it just needs a new application of thermal paste? Considering just sending it off for repairs again, but I'll have to fork out the cash myself this time and it feels a bit silly, because I feel like it will just repeat the problem again in a years time or so. Any advice?

I think this is just a common problem for laptops: Too much dust inside your fan and clogged the vent up so the fan cannot blow the hot air out.
The solution is simple, get the fan out, disassemble it and clean all the accumulated dust from inside. An easier method to try first is to use vacuum cleaner to suck on the center of the fan where it sucks in air, to try to reverse the process the dust get accumulated inside, without taking the fan out. -
Any idea if I might be able to find a step by step thing or a how-to on going about doing this? Sorry for being so noobish with all of this.
