    G72GX Throttling on GPU.

    This annoys me a lot. Sometimes if happens, sometimes it doesn't. Whenever the GPU hits a certain temperature (around 87C?), it downclocks to:

    300MHz - Core
    300MHz - Memory
    600MHz - Shader

    The only way to make the clocks go back to normal is to restart the computer. Trying to overclock it back to original settings doesn't work. How do I fix this?

    Also, how do I adjust the GPU fan speed on a GTX 260M?

    Look like G72GX's GPU is using a (fanless) heatsink & there is only one fan for the CPU. I think you need to re-apply the thermal paste on the GPU.

    Is that the only way? There isn't any thermal paste to buy in this country.
