    I Dont Know Why But I Have A G72 And When I Start Up The Keyboard Back Light Is On And When Windows Starts It Shuts Off , I Had It On For A Little Bit But You Couldnt Turn It On And Off Or Dim It It Was Just On But Now Its Only On During The Boot I Do Not Want To Send This Back To Asus Its January I Bought This Thing In August And Its Been There Twice For Two Months Each Time Is There Another Way To Fix This Baby

    The ATK package controls the keyboard lights, I would first go to programs in control panel, and see if it is possible to repair this application. That failing try to download the ATK package from asus site, remove the old one and install the downloaded one. If I need more details let us know. J

    ok im trying to repair the atk hotkey and its says
    path
    C:\preload64\ASUS\ATKHotkey\XP32_Vista32_Vista64_Win7_32_Win7_64_1.0.0052\data\409.msi cannot be found. verify that you have access to this location and try again or try to find the installation package "409.msi" in a folder from which you can install the produck ATK Hotkey i did a search no 409.msi :(

    You will need to either use the driver CD that may have come with your computer or download the driver from the asus web site, Repair is an iffy proposition at best.

    i just uninstalled the atk generic one and it works like it used to, it dose not dim or turn off but it works and all other keys work, so im fine with this if i have to later ill go further into it thank you for your help ,
