I just updated the bios from asus site and after restarting the laptop and fire up the amd gpu clock tool ..the clock i see is 299/1000??
i remember it used to be 699/1000.
but when i press the reset to default button the clock return to 699/1000.
am i missing something or is it what it is ?
pl help i am confused..

were you on the battery when you restarted? i just updated to 211 and my clocks are the same.

Thats the battery clock profile. Set your power plan to high performance and it should be back to 700/1000.

that was an easy fix..and i think a useful one.
didnt know that it is now in the system as i havnt seen this before .
was it there before the bios update? -
Its just the power plans. You can customise them to your liking - if you want you can make the gpu run at high performance clocks on all profiles plugged in and on battery and some other pretty important tings like sleep times, screen dim times, min and max cpu state...
Bios again has nothing to do with the power plans and powerplay. The vBios is the one that sets the powerplay clocks.
