    Hi All,

A few weeks ago I opened the similar thread but now I cannot find it.
The problem is I cannot use camera because it causes system freeez. Only system restart helps. It happens when I try to use Skype, LifeFrame3 and others applications.
System Win7 64, all asus drivers installed, the system without viruses and updated.
    The camera is Chicony 2M.

Remove the creative software, if you have not yet removed. :D

You mean when you search for "webcam" and your username you can't find the only matching post, located here. :)

In your other post, you reinstalled the driver. That didn't work?

I thought that the problem has been resolved but looks like I have the same again. I noticed that the system freezes when I connect a pendrive or removable disk (usb). It seems to be a conflict between USB camera and other USB devices.
Could you please check if you have the same?

I use a Patriot Xporter Magnum 64GB USB thumb drive all the time and have no issues, plugging or unplugging the drive. Although, I don't have Skype installed.

I installed the latest version of Skype. During a video call to the other computer, I put the Patriot Xporter Magnum 64GB USB thumb drive into the left-front USB port. Started VLC and began playback of a video off the Patriot drive. Skype kept working and the laptop didn't crash.

I wouldn't call myself lucky. I followed my own advice as outlined in the Clean Windows 7 Install guide and with the exception of system tweaks, I have kept it that way. Everyone who followed the guide starts out with the same odds, it then falls upon the hardware whether the same potential exists.

I don't want to send you on a wild goose chase by having you remove and (re)install stuff, because I honestly don't know why yours isn't working. I was hoping others would've included additional comment by now.

Have you checked Device Manager, do you see anything out of the ordinary? Have you installed any kind of driver updates (eg: VGA)? Do you have any other issues besides Skype/USB port that might be related? Have you considered backing up everything and reinstalling the OS before RMA?

I wish I could offer a more definitive solution, but I have not run into this particular issue before.

I have found the root cause of the issue. It was damaged BT mouse.
Without the mouse the system works perfectly

That's really good news. Congratulations on finding the culprit and thanks for the update.
