    G73 - Running on 2 GB ram?

    I tried running it on 2gb of ram leaving just slot 2 filled, the one that you have to disassemble the mobo to get at and it won't post!

    Can anyone else verify that this is motherboard design? I assume it has something to do with the chipset limitations on ram slots and the funky workaround asus, HP and others have done...

    But I'm not sure. I'm wondering if anyone else can confirm that this is design, not defect.

    normally you need slot 0 filled.

    I did the same thing while trying to toubleshoot a boot up issue. My G73 would not post as well with only the one motherboard stick of RAM. A few of the blue lights turned on and the fan started louder than normal - and that was it. I did, however, get it to work with 4G and 6G.
    DCx, were you having a boot issue as well? If not, what made you attempt the single RAM boot?
