A1, A2 and X3 in stock now w/ 15% Bing Cash Back
A1: $1699.99 - $255 Bing Cash Back = $1445
A2: $1599.99 - $240 Bing Cash Back = $1360
X3: $1549.99 - $232 Bing Cash Back = $1317
Not that I have any experience w/ TD, or even advocate buying from them due to some things I've heard about their RMA process, but they say 'Order Today, Ships Today' for all three models...
Edit: Oops, the X3 is not eligible for BCB. Wish I had the bucks for the A1 at this price, tho...
-
Tiger Direct RMA is awesome. They had no probs refunding me for a defective laptop.
And wow at the prices. Maybe I will jsut say forget it about the bios thing And just send this back and order the A2.
Same price as mine was but I get the extra HDD, backpack and mouse.
Hope this deal last for a couple of days, but I doubt it. -
Ok, + rep for you. I couldnt let this deal pass me up.
I already issued the RMA on my x3 early early this morning, might as well stick to it and send it back for my money.
The A2 is crazy awesome and I can verify that you get 240 bing cashback. Since I got the email and the order is done.
Oh and there was shipping, $7.43 for me. So, eh not bad, but still should be accounted for. -
There seems to be some hitch with the update for the same on the Bing site:
The 15% cashback is sure updated, but when a search is made for the the A2-no results show up!!
Infact the bing search still shows the X3 at $1394(10% discount).
Can anyone confirm the 15% for the the A2? -
^^Thats what I got, I ordered the A2 with 15% back. Got the email and everything.
To get 15% the easiest way, I just typed "laptops" into the search bar, and with adblock off, I saw 15% for TD. -
This is news to me! Good find. 15% Cashback and they are offering the a2 nice. Woo.
-
Apart from the HDD size, is there any difference between X3 and A2 version? Is there some known issues with the X3 version? What bios thing are you talking about? A2 is the way to go?
Thank you -
Thanks for giving everyone the heads up, GTO_Greg. I would've done the same earlier but as a newbie I didn't know if there were certain guidelines in posting a thread, so I posted about it in another thread. hehe.
15% off is the highest cashback you can get from TigerDirect. I wonder how long it will last this time? -
The A2 also carries a targus backpack with asus logo and a razer mouse. I'd say the HDD upgrade is good enough for it. The backpack and mouse are just nice extras.

I did a quick search about the "bios thing" dkillone mentioned. So is there like an ongoing issue with powerplay? I'm about to jump on this too but would like to know more about this "bios issue"? So the laptop only works on stock drivers and any driver update results in problems? Is it same for everyone or is it a hit and miss?
Thank you -
Don't know the repercussions of putting this on because it's for a Clevo. As they always say, "At your own risk...."
It's the top one. -
So far, after reverting back to the stock drivers everything seems fine for me. I'll test it out this week. If anything happens its going back dkillone's. I would rather not because I just hate waiting for it...

bing is still american only, isn't it
-
What do you mean by American only? You can get it sent to a non-U.S. PayPal account, as long as you buy from a U.S. store.
-
-
May you guys teach me on how to redeem this Bing Cash Back? I'm a German and wish to buy it with this Bing Cash Back.
-
Thanks for the head's up on this. Been waiting for a good deal to come around. Ordered an A1 this morning and they called and confirmed this afternoon.
Jeffrey1987 - Just go to Bing shopping and it will explain how it works. -

I found this at Frequently Asked Questions:
"Who's eligible for Bing cashback?
You are, as long as you:
Provide us with a valid email address and password for account access.
Are at least 18 years of age and reside in the U.S.
Have a valid U.S. mailing address (a PO Box won't work).
Create or have an active Windows Live ID and cashback account.
Adhere to the Microsoft Service Agreement. Read this carefully for specific limitations."
So, I'm not eligible for this as I'm a German? -
Do you have any friends or relatives that live in the U.S.? Maybe they can create their own Bing account and purchase it for you and then have TigerDirect ship it to you in Germany. I don't know really, try asking TigerDirect for advice, they might have a solution. If not, "es tut mir leid".

-
Is the 15% over because when I search on bing it only lists 2-5% cash back.
-
Search up "laptops" in bing and find tigerdirect on the right. Don't look @ stores
-
Thanks, turns out ad-block was blocking it so I could never find it.
-
Had the same problem
-
-
g73jh-a1 is no longer listed at Tiger Direct.... (they still have x3 and a2....)
-
Well they sold out quick as usual I guess. A2 is already saying shipping in 7-21days.
-
So does that mean a2 is out of stock?
-
Pretty much, but will prob be getting some more in soon. Last time the X3 went out of stock it took about 5-6 days before they had more in. Might have been less i forget.
-
does the bing cashback still work if its out of stock?
-
Yup, as far as I know anyways, you can always try, and if you dont get a email within a day or 2 confirming your cashback u can just call and cancel your TD order.
-
lol more A1 it's no longer listed only X3 model and the A2 model go to new arrivals section.
-
theres still 240 cashback for a2....
-
Well, no more A2 now either, its gone from their website.
-
and the X3 is excluded
-
Dagnabit, I wish I had checked this part of the forums sooner.
I've been looking everywhere for a good deal on the g73jh-* -
Woot!! Got an update with tracking information.
-
I frequent a site called "Slickdeals" that has a forum dedicated to finding "hot deals" in internet shopping, and that's how I found out about the 15% cashback for TigerDirect. I couldn't stop myself from ordering an A2 for $1360 on Friday before it sold out. I am very relieved now that I did without hesitation this time because now it says it's unavailable.
So is there an official A2 thread around here or should we just refer to the A1 thread? ( Since they're basically the same machine minus a few extras.) -
I think Bing prohibits retailers from excluding items =/
