Hey everyone, I'm really excited to have joined this great community. I need some help here and would really appreciate all the advice I can get. I really am fixed on getting a G73 for gaming. The question is, should I get it now or wait? In other words is there a newer model of the G73 coming out anytime soon that would add an array of ports that the current model lacks in particular? I'm split, I'd buy it right now if something similar or better isn't on the way for around the same price. Any advice? Thanks in advance guys!

Thats the main reason why I bought the G73. Its future-proof. It might be possible asus might make the 15" but so far no news. Also the "upcoming" cards by nvidia are crap. Consume too much power and takes in too much heat. (7% increase in performance for 50% more power, 20% more heat). I know the ports in this thing is lackluster but its not a dealbreaker since most port you use are there. If you want more ports get clevo w870 or w860

ASAP is tigerdirect, use bing cashback. But its an x1. Newegg got an a2

But if you can wait you get a better deal at xoticpc or powernotebooks. They offer customs. I'm not sure the wait time on powernotebooks but its probaly short. On XoticPc its 4-6 weeks waiting time. Customs go with upgrade intel advance-n 6200 (highly recommend). You can get SSD if you can afford it.

    rep if this helps :p

Yeah... Missed the 12.3% cashback... I think i'm going to go with Xoticpc or powernotebooks.

Then again... It's still 1418.24 without taxes and after bing cashback. The price dropped from 1599.99 to 1549.99. Originally was 1403.19

You pay less upfront... so better maybe?

Okay I see. Amazon also has it available. Now here is the big question, which one of these places ship a receipt with the box? In other words I know I will get the e-receipt, do any of these places be it Amazon, Tiger, Newegg etc ship their products with a hard receipt or any payment information with the package?

    Thanks guys.

Newegg doesn't include a hard copy receipt, instead you get e-mail. When I ordered my G73JH, including some other goodies, there was a total of 8 e-mails, due to the order getting split. There were two "Order Confirmation", two "Payment Charged", two "UPS Tracking" and two "Invoice" e-mails. From placing the order to having the G73JH in my hand, plus two other boxes from Newegg which arrived all at the same time, was 3 days by UPS ground. I've order many things from Newegg over the years, so none of this is surprising.

I see, is there any retail store that I can simply just walk into a buy a G73 A2? I don't want the best buy one, does Micro Center have it?
