I was using 1920x1080 with magnifier tool set to 125% to enlarge text.

Now I'm trying 1280x720 but the text are not sharp & crisp

Please everybody, Post your settings here to reach the optimum options

What's wrong with native and increasing the DPI? Do you have REALLY bad eyesight or something?

I was going to advise the same thing..

What is the use of buying a higher resolution and then switching to a lower resolution?

    Increase the DPI :)

In browsers and applications that support it, I just use CTRL+ until I get the size I'm most comfortable with.

These sort of issues are exactly why I recommend people buy the lower res screens if they have visual acuity issues. My wife doesn't like any display over 1440x900 and still has a 1280x1024 20" monitor for external display.

1080p on a laptop is a challenge but since I use my G73 mainly for games it's fine. The 1600x900 versions may be better for some.

    Cheers,

My mom was like that, until I gave her my P-7805u with the 1920x1200 screen. She adjusted, and now loves it.

That was an issue with my mum too conincidentally. lol. Got her the P-7807u with the 1440x900 because she couldn't get used to 1080p despite adjustments.

    What are the odds. :D

    Dude, you're so rude.

Anyway, I'm using native res (1920x1080), great display :)
Just hold Win and + keys in Windows 7 to magnify your desktop (rarely to use this one).

lol, I don't think he meant to make it sound rude. It was a simple question and it turned out to sound kinda rude.

but yea, increase the dpi. the touchpad functions allow you to increase size of some applications and icons.

Use native res for sure so you get all the pixel power of your screen and not artificial scaling.

You can try to set a higher DPI in your control panel as a global fix.

For browser related stuff, for me using firefox just holding the Ctrl key down and then moving the mouse wheel up/down will make text and stuff larger/smaller.
