Hello. I just got my G73 (BB model) today and installed my Intel 80gb SSD. Windows 7 is installed but I have a couple problems. I downloaded all the drivers from the Asus website. However, I can't get some of the drivers installed.

Realtek Audio driver errors not being able to find supported hardware.
FIXED: Downloaded the drivers from the Realtek site. http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads...=24&Level=4&Conn=3&DownTypeID=3&GetDown=false

Intel Turbo Boost Driver won't install. "This computer does not meet minimum requirements."
FIXED: Go to the support site. Choose notebook, instead of picking your series, choose Apps. Then choose P4G Hybrid. Select Windows 7 64 bit.
Under utilities, you will see quite a few. At first I looked for the most recent date. Then looking at versions, I realized it wasn't matching up.
I ended up installing Version V1.1.33 because the most recent one 3/24/2010 wouldn't install. (Plus the version number is lower.)

Turbo Boost Monitor - "This version is not compatable with the version of Windows you are running." (I made sure I selected 64bit drivers)
FIXED: Downloaded the monitor from Intel's website. http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=18353

No Synaptics Touchpad driver? Fn+F10 does not work without it installed.
FIXED: Downloaded drivers from the synaptics website. http://www.synaptics.com/support/drivers

Anyone give me a little insight and tell me what they have done with a fresh install? I tried the asus restore utility (F9 on boot) but it reinstalled on the 500gb drive. Not my SSD.

    Thank you very much!

*EDIT* Hopefully this will help others with the same questions as myself. :)

did you not get a driver disc?

As far as more specific help to a couple of the issues...

Make sure gadgets are enabled for the turbo boost monitor as that is all it is.

And i have heard to go to synaptics website to get latest drivers for the touchpad

No discs in the box I got. It was sealed by the asus tape.

I can't even install the turbo boost monitor. It's saying my Windows version is incompatable. x86 x64.

I did go to the synaptics site and got drivers there. That one is working now. First post updated.

I don't know if this will help, but if you're going to do a manual install of the driver software, I would do them in the order specified in my guide (see sig).

I have been begging people on here to put the driver disc up for download. xD They keep telling me to go to the Asus website, but all of the drivers arent there.

PLEASE SOMEONE UPLOAD THE DRIVER/UTILITY DISC TO A TORRENT FOR US! <3

I did a fresh install aswell and have scoured the internet for drivers.... it would be so much easier if i just had the disc. Dang you Asus! :p

you could disconnect the 500g and then run the asus restore utility, it would then be forced to put things on your ssd I would imagine

The factory backup in the hidden partition is on the same drive you're recommending be removed, so how would that work?
