    If I use the boot menu to restore my G73 to factory settings, will it also revert the bios and vbios?

    No. BIOS and VBIOS are firmware, not software. In other words you can do anything to the hard drive and not touch either of them as a consequence.

    are device drivers considered software though?

    so it will revert my catalyst driver?

    Yes the GPU drivers will revert back since they are stored on boot drive (C) , unlike the BIOS and VbIOS.

    Yeah as JOSEA said any driver will be reverted to stock with a factory restore, all drivers are considered software.
