I have the 211 bios and chastity's Vbios with X-Fi MB installed.

I recently have begun to encounter random system freezes, sometimes with the speakers emitting this low whine and other times with out.

I had a previous problem with freezes but after uninstalling ZoneAlarm i was fine untill this new set of freezes.

Event viewer doesn't give much but i will post it anyways.

(Note: I had a previous problem with freezes but after uninstalling ZoneAlarm they stopped. I now have ESET Smart Security)

    Any help would be apreciated!

edit1: turned off egui.exe (the antivirus and firewall) waiting to see if it makes any difference

Try disabling your antivirus, it looks like it's causing some kind of conflict.

Check your reliability history to see if you can narrow down the culprit in causing the freezes.

I'm sorry but can you be more specific when you mean "reliability history" ? And exactly how to go about doing this?

Thanks, well i couldn't find anymore besides what i already found in the reliability monitor; but with the event viewer i found a few entries timestamped around the same time as the freeze.

    11:42s is the latest freeze

11:44:06 Event ID 41 Kernel-Power The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly. I think this one is irrelevant

11:44:13 Event ID 6008 EventLog The previous system shutdown at 11:42:18 PM on ‎2/‎10/‎2011 was unexpected. Same as first post

11:44:14 Event ID 1 LMS LMS Service cannot connect to Intel(R) MEI driver

11:44:22 Event ID 3057 Application Virtualization Client The Application Virtualization Client Core initialized correctly. seems irrelevant

    This one looks suspicious

11:44:26 Event ID 6000 Winlogon The winlogon notification subscriber <SessionEnv> was unavailable to handle a notification event. This one looks suspicious

Their are also many ACEEventLogSource entries that mention Graphics...

I have no bloody idea what the problem is and im posting all of this out of sheer desperation. If ANYONE has ANY idea i would like to hear it very much
