    Hey everyone.

Ok have the BB model G73. NEVER EVER had an issue or a PSOD or anything like that.

Tried the HDMI for the first time and the TV had like a half second delay behind the laptop. Is there a setting to fix this?

Im running the latest ATI mobility.,

    Thanks!

Correct me if I'm wrong but thats the same with any computer. There is another device out there that said to fixed the lag.

    Ryukenden is correct
There is always a little tiny bit of delay when you connect a display with a laptop.
There's nothing wrong with your setup :)

Thats weird. When I had my Nvidia based laptop there was ZERO lag. Its noticible when watching movies because the audio is just slightly behind. Must be an ATI thing then.

I've never experienced any lag with any laptop connected to an external display. VGA, HDMI, and DVI connections all run flawless to my naked eye.

I'd suggest reinstalling the graphics driver and see if that helps.

A lot of TVs introduce a slight delay. Try putting your sound out through HDMI into the tv as well. That may fix it, but if not you may need to look through the TV options for an audio delay compensation setting.

Someone once told me that some TVs also try to minimize the processing delay if you set the picture preset to 'game' mode. Worth a try anyways.

I've never seen any lag. I would have returned the notebook if I did.

Do the resolutions match between the display adapter and the TV?

If so, is there any other re-sampling being done or effects being applied by the TV (or any other intermediate device like a tuner)?

Definitely look at the TV settings.

Yeah its very slight but noticeable. It was really bad but there was a checkbox in the ati control center that said hardware accel display that helped a lot.
