    Hey everyone!

Have the BB model G73jh with the 5870.

I have it working perfectly fine here (latest drivers and vbios) Playing rage, bf3 and tons of other games just fine.

I heard Chastity made a modified vbios that maybe improves battery life?
Right now when I unplug the GPU goes to 400mhz but the memory stays at 1Ghz?

Anyone have experience with this new vbios driver and what it does exactly? ALso a link and instructions maybe?

    THanks a ton peeps!

Yup the OD2 lower the clocks you can do this with the AC in or out and it drops the clocks to 100/150. On AC it lowers my temps to 42oC and shuts off my GPU fan and runs at a very low wattage so I can leave my laptop on all the time.

Just flash it exactly the same with the OD2 Vbios .93 and type OD2 instead when you flash.

Awesome buddy thanks! So, just to be clear, your not running to any issues right? Like I hear about some peeps having flickering issues and what not?

Like I said, everything is running great when im plugged in in high performance mode, I just want a little more battery life when on the go watching movies :)

Well I have had no problems at all but every 5870 card is different simply flash it and test it by pulling the plug and if you run into issues stick the plug back in and flash back.

    :)

I have Chastity's OD2 vBios with the Best Buy version of the G73JH and have no issues whatsoever.

Been using it for months here and no problems at all... I even use the overdrive feature too! Chastity did some nice work here.

Yeah, I too am using the OD2 vBIOS. It seems to be the best of all worlds... Better battery life than the prior updated versions, and full Overdrive compatibility for tweaking GPU clocks.
