I have read through the threads regarding the same issue, but didn't see my exact problem. So, today, I repasted the GPU. This is the second time I've taken the top cover+keyboard off, first was to install RAM, had no issues. So, the repaste went well, didn't seem any different than when I'd do heatsink installs on a desktop.
Put everything back together, making sure to keep the wifi cables out of the way, buttoned it all back up and hooray, no boot. When I plug the power brick in, the charging light stays on, but when i hit power, the power light flashes for a split second, the charging light goes away, and then the charging light comes back on, but there's no activity at all from the laptop.
If I just use the battery, I see the power light flash on and off quickly, but no sounds, no hardware boots, and no other lights are flashing.
The reset switch is free and I've just tried disassembling and reassembling a second time and I'm seeing the same behavior. Has anyone experienced this before? The GPU was fine prior to this, it ran hot, but I never had any issues with freezes/shutdowns.

Just repasted the CPU while I had it open(3rd time), and now, instead of seeing a charging light, the power light(little light bulb) and the power button light are blinking every other second. Still wont boot. Any insight?

Has no one had any problems like this? Is there another forum I should post on?
edit: Guess my G73 heard me whining...in desperation I tried simply removing the top panel+keyboard and seeing if it would boot...and for whatever reason, it did. Reassembled and it's still working.
G73 JH Wont boot
