    G73 Mic not Working

    Well my mic's not been working for sometime, can't remember since when. It was definitely working when i got the notebook, then stopped working sometime afterwards. Here's what all i've tried to no avail.

    1. searched this forum for similar threads and tried solutions listed in them.
    2. upgraded to latest realtek drivers (R2.57)
    3. upgraded to latest Asus sponsored audio drivers
    4. downgraded to stock audio drivers
    5. physically checked connectors under the keyboard and bezel

    None of the above work, my mic records nothing and when i increase the mic playback volume all i hear is static.

    You could check the config page where the mic gain adjustment is and see if it's muted
