    G73 Momentus XT Drive date?

    I'm looking at picking up a G73 for my portable computer next year at college (dorm to home etc, not classes- I'm not stupid). However when I heard about the Seagate Momentus XT drives and that the G73 was going to be the first to get them, I put ordering the laptop on hold until I could get a hold of them.

    Xotic PC doesn't have them as an option yet, but they've got the best price. BTO Tech has them optional, but looking at the price, I might as well buy two from Newegg and swap them out myself.

    Is there a good retailer where I know I can get my hands on the drives pre-installed?

    An A1 or X5 model (MicroCenter) would work here, and all you would need is one XT drive. The second one is data and not neccessary to have it have the NAND. Then you would have an equivalent to an A3.

    We've just recently added the Seagate Momentus XT HDD's to our configuration menu for the Asus notebooks. These drives are in very limited quantity though :(

    Yeah that drive is good looking update for G73. Unfortunately that model unavailable in our country...
