When I used Ccleaner I noticed that it reports that my CPU is a 1.6GHz. I understand that the Intel i7 boosts its power to 2.8GHz when required. I have also been told that the turbo button @ top left of the keyboard does nothing, and that I should rely on Intel's turbo boost. How do I adjust or access this "Intel turbo boost" feature? Is there a way to have the processor always be @ 2.8GHz (not sure if this is even possible) or is it best to let the CPU control this?

Your CPU is rated for 1.6GHz. TurboBoost will overclock it if temps and load allows for it. If you want permanent clocks of 2.8 or better, get an Extreme CPU.

You can set your computer to Performance mode, which will leave your CPU at 100%, so it *may* stay at 2.8 if you have nothing threaded going on, but could drop to 2.6 or whatever for dual core OC or less for quad usage.
