Does the G73 have an optical out? I read that some laptops have an SPDIF Out built into the headphone jack, is this true for the G73? Asking becaus I'm looking to buy a DAC for my laptop.

I am 99% sure it does.

If you take a flashlight and shine it in the headphone jack you should see a clear LED.

What kind of cable do you need to get the digital out? If it is just optical I assume it needs a special termination.

EDIT: Ahhh, mini-Toslink. I'm going to have to hit up one of the computer centers here and see if I can scrounge up one of these cables. I got a USB soundcard but I think that the EAX is only enabled for the Realtek outputs, plus I want greater selection in the sampling rates.
