    Problem/Solution

    Re-paste 5870m - 6 hours of furmark never breaks 75C. idles at around 48C
Re-paste CPU - Fan hever goes above low setting even under load

Those good temps for the vid card?

What tool did you use for measuring the GPU temps? As far as I know, Furmark would display the DispIO temp instead of the MemIO and the Shader (wherein MemIO and Shader are always the most hot in the GPU).

What's your ambient temp and what settings did you use on Furmark?

Just whatever furmark displayes which seems to be exactly what CCC displays as well. I used xtreme burn in and cracked everything to the highest.

    Ambient is like 78F inside.

I'm sure Furmark displays the temp readings on the DispIO, you might want to try using tools like HWiNFO64 for example to get the reading of the MemIO and the Shader temps as those two are usually the hotter components in the GPU. By the way, when you ran Furmark, did you choose the "Benchmark (user's settings)" button? I think that's the right button to click to run Furmark on the additional settings like Xtreme burn-in, Post-FX, etc.
