Ok, so before everyone tells me to search I have. I've read a bunch of stuff on here but my issue is that most of it is 2+ years old.

I currently have a G73JH with the Hannstar screen (I think the screen sucks but from what I've read on here it's either the best screen or the 2nd best screen behind the AUO v4/5)

I ordered a G73SW on amazon for $400 but it has a 1600x900 screen so I figured I'd see if anyone has any more current upgrade suggestions for 1080p screens that will work with it. I'm planning on either just swapping screens with my JH and selling the JH with a 900 screen or buying a new and better panel for the SW if there is a better option available.

So my primary question is does anyone have a link to screen comparisons from more recently than 2010? or know of any better panel upgrade options from the past couple of years that are better than the Hannstar or AUO v5 that were the top suggestions 2+ years ago?

The AUO is still the best panel as current models have a different connector.

There are a selection of reasonable 40 pin LVDS TN panels, but the AUO is the best.

Yes you are right and basically this is the best display as we are limited by the 40-pin LVDS connector :/

Yes all the ips panels will be using either the 50pin lvds or 30 pin eDP.
