    Hey guys
I recently bough a G73 and love it so far except for one small issue. For games and most things I use the sweet mouse it came with, but for surfing the net sometimes I like to use the trackpad. However, since i've had the problem its been kind of weird. At first the cursor would sometimes turn into a gray circle. But more recently and frequently it would turn into the "move" crosshair (the four pointed lines....like the axes of a graph) and it when moving in one direction (usually left) the cursor will act like it "hit a wall"; it stops moving in that direction for a few seconds. I can go back in the other direction or go up and down, but its very annoying. I uninstalled the synaptics driver and now the crosshair thing doesn't happen but the wall thing still does.

Has this happened to anyone before, and if so how did you fix it?

btw I saw a thread on this forum about this but it only said to uninstall the driver, it said nothing about the "wall" issue I was having

that depends on you. I suggest u adjust your settings to fit the way you use ur touch pad. The cursor and the grey circle thing are scrolls which come up when ur fingers hit the edge or perhaps your palm is touching it or it isn't registering cause of your palm.

first, make sure you have the latest touchpad update from asus.

You can lower the area in which the scrolls happen, etc. play with it a bit.

there is also a palm rest setting which senses when ur palm is laying on the touch pad while your typing.
