    G73 Turbo buttons don't work and hot!

    So, recently I had problems with my computer crashing and then Geek Squad determined that it was the hard-drive that was making it crash. The Laptop has always been sort of hot (idles from 60-70) so I thought maybe THAT was causing it. Anyways, my problem now is that my turbo button no longer works. I click it and nothing happens, so I have no idea if turbo is always on or if it's always off. Also, when I play games my temp can go from 60C to 80C, is this normal?

    Twin Turbo requires two apps to be installed:

    1) ATK Package
    2) Power4Gear Hybrid

    Check to see which you are missing, and install the latest versions.

    Do you know of a good site to download drivers? I googled the apps and there were no results that I could find. Just to a bunch of threads for people with PC problems.

    1. what kind of crash?

    2. are you using user or admin profile? twin turbo only works for me with my admin profile (which is not activly used, the way it should be)

    It would crash to where it would just shut off. Then I would have to wait a minute to turn it back on again. Geek Squad ruled it a Hard Drive problem and replaced it.

    Yes, this is the only profile on the computer...so I would assume so.

    I guess you never looked at Asus' website for driver and application updates in their Support section. First place I would look. Since I do not feel like typing out an hour's worth of "How To Find The Latest Drivers and Apps on Asus' Retarded Website", I'll leave that to your own discovery.     And it isn't that I didn't look there, it's just that I found out that the site is impossible. Couldn't find anything there. Thanks though.

    EDIT:

    I tried to download both programs and both said that I already have a version of it installed on my computer.

    You have to uninstall the old version first on both.
